It doesn’t sound like GD. You may need to eat more often, that will keep your blood sugar regulated. Many women have problems with low blood sugar near the end of pregnancy, due to baby’s rapid growth. It is nothing to worry about. When you begin to get light headed you need to eat.

they pick it up early around 28 weeks so they time to get your diet and shots under control

Yes i can happen at any time. You must go to the midwife and get this sorted. Even if its not diabetes then it still needs to be sorted, good luck.

im 36.6 weeks and i have the same thing going on. but i asked my doctor about it, and he said its your body reacting to having a seven pound human in you. makes sense, considering how much they are gaining and taking away from us right now.

I believe in some people gestational diabetes can appear anytime through a pregnancy. I am at risk of diabetes in general so my Ob tests me about 4 times during my pregnancies ( a lot more that normal which is once, lol) but bare in mind that you are getting near the end and dizziness could be a blood pressure thing or a pre-eclampsia thing not just diabetes. Go and either see your Doc or call them just in case.

I dont see why it couldnt. Maybe the baby is on a growth spurt and taking all of your nutrition. They do that right before you go into labor. I lost 3 lbs the day before I gave birth and I just couldnt stop eating.
