With diabetes symptoms, how frequent is frequent urination?
Sep 30, 2009 | Frequent Urination Sign Diabetes
I remember with me…if I wasn’t drinking something (sooo thirsty), or eating something (sooo hungery), I was peeing. At that point the body has given up on food even though I was feeding it because there wasn’t any insulin to break down the food. SO the body decided to eat the fat and then the muscle I had…the reason for extreme thirst was all the junk in the blood from the food that the body couldn’t process had to get out by way of the bladder. Thus, back to urination…very frequent, and the amounts were large each time. NOTE: in my case the urine did have a somewhat sweet smell (kinda gross, but to date, if my blood sugar is high it will be that way). Hope this helps, if in doubt SEEK A DOCTOR. A quick test and they can tell you for sure; it might be something else….

I am a diabetic and I find nighttime to be the worst. I am up every hour at the worst and every two hours at the best. During the day I urinate about every two hours. I might also add that I drink lots of water, even during the night. If you are concerned, consult with your doctor.
Good luck.

Around every 30 minutes, maybe.
Also, you don’t have diabetes unless you need to wake up 2-3 times every night to pee.

That depends on how high your blood sugar is. The higher the sugar, the more thirsty you are, the more you will drink and therefore, the more you will urinate.
