My son is a diabetic, when his blood sugar levels are normal and not running high he urinates just as much as a non-diabetic, when his blood sugars are running high he can urinate as often as every 5, 10 or 15 minutes. High blood sugars cause diabetics to drink more hence the fact they need the toilet more. Hope this helps!

Even normal persons urinate ‘frequently’ in winter, or those who have the habit of taking liquid foods in large quantities or live in a cold environment (air-conditioned area). The disease condition in which the person urinates more ‘frequently’ is called as Diabetes insipidus.
The other condition of diabetes is due to sustained increased blood glucose levels and termed as Diabetes mellitus.
The ‘frequency’ of urination in diabetes insipidus is at which it disturbs the normal work of the person, or for example in nights, if the persons gets out of bed for passing urine ‘frequently’ severely disturbing the sleep cycle. (one sleep cycle is fairly 60 – 90 minutes). Other acute conditions may also lead to ‘frequent’ urinating problem, they are, for example, excessive salt intake, urinary tract infection, excessive fluid intake, etc.

frequent urination means taking trips to the bathroom fairly often, compared to your normal routinethis would mean that if you went to the bathroom every hour and a half, you may be going once every 30 minutes. however, if you are concerned that you may have diabetes, i wouldn't worry abbout it unles you had other symptoms, because you may just have a urinary tract infection, or if you are an older man, an enlarged prostate

my cousin found out she had diabetes, and i tell you what, she was urinating, like a race horse about every 5 minutes. we would barely be out of the house, and she had to go again. when you are told frequent urination, thats is seriously what it is, like a pregnant woman, has to urinate, so often you want take shelter in the bathroom!
