Frequent urination?
Oct 15, 2009 | Frequent Urination Sign Diabetes
No frequent urination at all for me.Is it necessary to feel the symptom of frequent urination in any type of diabetes?
Due to the increase in glucose in the blood making the blood like strawberry jam, the body makes you want to drink to help the kidneys filter the sugary blood resulting in an increase in thirst which in turn once the water and blood has filtered through kidneys results in increased frequency of urination. It is the most common and identifying clinical signs of diabetes.
I am not 100% sure but I suspect that the increase in urination and drinking in type2 diabetes may not be as noticeable as in type1 as type 2 is slow at coming on and most people can live with it for years without knowing they have it, however with Type1 diabetes it is unmistakable and often a more sudden illness.

You do not have to be experiencing frequent urination to have diabetes. When I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 11, I had no frequent urination problems. I know people who have diabetes that never displayed any of the classic symptoms. Though most people display some symptoms of diabetes, the fact that you are not experiencing frequent urination doesn’t mean you don’t have diabetes.

Frequent urination may point to several things and diabetes may be only one of them. A trip to the doctor may show the true cause of your problems.
