Hey Rh1no1 how you going. Having a hard time with complications must really suck. Try to stay strong and positive as possible. I read the web link you sent me on the cancer drugs which halt type 1 in mice but there isnt really much indication of when further research will be done. When will it be trialed on humans?
Anyhow Dr Faustman is trying other drugs and has cure type 1 in mice also back in 2001 These drugs are said to train the immune system,more trials will be done this year on humans

Excellent post Allie, 3 stents in my heart after 31 years of being Diabetic (thank god that’s all…so far). What do you think gets done 1st, Dr.Faustman’s study / cure, or the drug companies altering analogues to contain ‘proinsulin / c-peptide’?
I hope I am fortunate enough to be picked for phase2 at MGH.

As a type 2, I have poured thousands of hours learning what I can do to avoid insulin in my quest for more knowledge on how to care for myself. You’ve renewed my enthusiasm in this pursuit. Did you read the recent news about the two types of cancer drugs used to help diabetics? I believe the doctor who is involved in the experiment is at S.F. university.
