Almost daily, I am dizzy and have blurred vision. It is during the morning hours that it is the worst. I don’t have the other symptoms (thirst and frequent urination) of diabetes, however. Recently, my blood pressure has been higher (160/110), during the morning hours, than usual. Though, it isn’t high every morning I feel dizzy and have blurred vision.

Hi
Diabetes and high blood pressure are definitely connected. Exercise and the elimination of high carbohydrate foods from the diet would be the first important step to take.

The combination of diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure, has been called The Metabolic Syndrome.

All about high blood pressure at the Life Extension Foundation website. Use the pull-down menu "Select Health Concerns" to look up diabetes and other conditions:

Free online nutrition plan that will help both conditions at Dr. Mercola’s site:

You might consider finding a doctor that will focus on lifestyle factors rather than drugs since diabetes 2 and high blood pressure are very much connected to obesity, diet and exercise.

My son is a diabetic, when his blood sugar levels are normal and not running high he urinates just as much as a non-diabetic, when his blood sugars are running high he can urinate as often as every 5, 10 or 15 minutes. High blood sugars cause diabetics to drink more hence the fact they need the toilet more. Hope this helps!

It is possible that these could be signs and symptoms of diabetes. However, these are very broad signs and symptoms that could mean a number of many other medical conditions. For example, UTI, pregnancy, kidney stones. The list goes on and on. You should make an appointment with your doctor and discuss all of your symptoms.

I am currently 32, diagnosed w/diabetes at age 28, for the last 2 years i have had frequent urination during day and night with urgency. Is it common to have this problem at my age? Is there medication that could help?

Have you ever had your prostate checked? An enlarged prostate gland could cause this problem.

Hi there, I am a male in my late twenties, early thirties who (mostly during the night) has to use the bathroom quite a bit. It disturbs my sleep and even though I’m down for about 8-10 hours, I still feel miserable when I get up. I have gone to the doctor and been cleared from having diabetes and from having anything wrong with my prostate or even a UTI.

It isn’t an unstoppable urge to go and I certainly have control of my bladder, but it’s almost like a discomfort that won’t go away until I pee… and sometimes it’s the smallest amount that makes me get up in the middle of the night – almost not worth it.

I have heard of herbal things you can take (like green tea extract or something) to help with this problem… is this true? Anyone have any non-medical treatments?

Thanks!

Do Keigel (pronounced kee-gal) exercises to help this. Pinch the muscle that you would use to stop the flow if you were actually peeing (try it once when you’re at the toilet) and hold it for 10 seconds. Do this 10 or so times every day – while you’re sitting in the car, or while you’re at your desk working… wherever.

Increasing the muscular control there will alleviate the pressure that your bladder puts on that muscle, which is what makes you feel like you have to go. As an added bonus, it will help give you more control and power in your sexual function.

What is frequent urination? 5

How often is considered frequent urination for diabetes?

Most people go every 4-6 hours on average, depending on how much you drink. Frequent urination associated with diabetes is every 2-3 hours or more. It feels like you are constantly in the bathroom, and like you have to go every 15 minutes or so. It does not stop at night, either. It’s a sign your kidneys are trying to flush themselves out because you have high levels of sugar in the blood stream and the only place for it to go is out. It is also the source of the constant thirst associated with diabetes. You drink more, therefore you pee more. Hope this helps!! :)

There are so many other types of infections that could have similar symptons.Get tested for bacterial infection, yeast infection and stds. Sometimes when you are nervous or have anxiety problems you can also have frequent urination for what seems like no reason at all, even if you did’nt drink many fluids.

Hey all. I’ve noticed lately Ive been urinating alot more then usual. Im a 17 year old female and I decided to keep track for today. I urinated 10 times today between the times of 10am and 10pm. ( this is not counting the times i get up at night, usually once maybe twice) I also kept track of my fluid intake. I drank about 70 ounces of water and about 40 ounces of diet coke.

My urine was always a pale yellow-clear.

Im worried about diabetes (type 1 and insipidus)

Also: I don’t think type 2 is an option for me. I’m not at all overweight and I’m a pretty active person. I eat constantly, but my weight stays the same. I eat dinner and an hour later I will be hungry.

Firstly you need to get some facts right type 2 diabetics are not all overweight and they can be very active. So you could be type 2 but I think you are urinating a lot because you DRINK a lot .If you were type 1 you would have more symptoms than just urinating a lot. But if you thing you are diabetic then you need to talk to your doctor and get tested for diabetes because if you are diabetic then the sooner treatment is started the better
