According to the Diabetes Association, you are considered diabetic if you have two consecutive fasting blood sugars higher than 126.
The HgA1C of 6.7 means that your average blood sugar over the last three months is 141.
But that test is NOT used to diagnose diabetes.

To get a broader picture of what BA1C test results and daily finger prick blood glucose levels, I recommend you visit my blog site and print off the Blood Glucose Levels chart. The chart relates BA1C test results and daily finger prick blood glucose levels.
You will find that 6.7 is pretty strong in the pre-diabetic zone which 6% to 7% or 6 to 7. You should be able to gain control as the numbers are not terrible.
Best Wishes.
